What we collect
When you request the bonus chapter, we collect your first name and email address. When you pre-order, we receive order details such as the product, amount, payment status, a checkout reference and the contact details needed to deliver your purchase. Card details are entered only on Yoco’s hosted checkout page; we never see or store them. Hosting providers also process basic technical data, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver and secure the site.
Why we use it
We use your name and email to send the bonus chapter and related updates you signed up for (consent); your name, email and order and payment information to process, deliver and support your pre-order and keep required records (contract and legal obligations); if you tick the optional box at checkout, your name and email to send occasional book updates (consent, which is never a condition of purchase); and technical data to keep the website secure and working (legitimate operational interests).
Service providers and cross-border processing
Email signups are managed by Kit, and payments are processed by Yoco. These and our hosting providers act on our behalf and may store or process information outside South Africa. We use reputable providers that apply appropriate safeguards, and we share only what each service needs.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, such as tax and accounting records. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email us and we will remove you.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold your information, request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Email contact@currencytocapital.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
